Although illegal dumping can occur anywhere, I feel that it is much more prevalent in urban areas, with higher poverty rates. I wanted to to bring attention to this issue because I feel that there is a lack of information regarding alternative methods of waste management for Providence residents.
In revising my letter, I added a title, corrected my grammatical errors, edited my supporting information and added an opposing view. Through conducting research and writing this letter I've become aware of useful strategies to deal with community issues and spread awareness to the public. I've also realized that I need to do more to become a better, more active citizen of my community.
